Transferring your out-of-state driver license

After moving, you can drive with a valid, unexpired driver license for up to 90 days.

Obtaining a new Texas ID

If you don’t have a driver license, you can apply for a new identification card. 

Registering your vehicle

You have 30 days from the time you arrive in Texas to register your vehicle. 

New voter registration

To vote in Texas, you must be eligible and registered to vote at least 30 days before the next election.
