Get your REAL ID by May 7, 2025

Beginning May 7, 2025, all Texans will need a REAL ID with a gold star to fly within the U.S. and enter federal buildings. If you have a valid driver license, you will still be able to use it to drive and access some state services, but it will no longer be accepted as official identification by the federal government.
